hey all, i am looking to expand my Excalibur collection, i have woefully few issues unfortunatley, i have read a bunch, but do not remember issue numbers or anything to try and find em again... so when i next raid my local comic shop for back issues, any of you have some favorite issues that i should keep an eye out for? i tire of the overly melodramatic, angst-ridden x-men recently... i mean geez, i can't remember when they last cracked a smile even... though Emma was rather funny in the last issue of New X-men with that stunt she pulled at the end
but i want some straight light hearted fun. (Exiles is fitting the bill nicely too, but i liked Excalibur)

Well if you go to www.foxdie.co.uk you can read the old cochran Nightcrawler Mini-Series Comic
As for Nightcrawler Episodes themselves, tell me what your looking for and perhaps I can find them in JPG scanned in format.
I know where to find the first 36 issue's straight.

Yeah, I'm gonna start expanding on my collection soon also (once I get some money and all
), and I'm at school so I can't name anything off the top of my head. But if you haven't already, why not pick up issue 1? You can probably get it for pretty cheap now.

But mommy, do I really need a signature?"

Let's see...here's what I would consider to be the "highlights" of the Excalibur run...
* Special Edition #1
* #1-#5 (continues plot lines from Special #1, a great Juggernaut fight, and Arcade)
* #32-#34 (Girls' School From Heck!)
* #42-#50 (Davis as writer/artist...bobs and weaves, but finishes nicely by ish #50)
* #55-#58 (Picks up on an early Satyr-9/Courtney Ross plotline, then a 2-issue stint with the X-Men drawn by Joe Mad)
* #95-#103 (the Warren Ellis/Pacheco/Casey Jones run...especially issues #98 & #103)
* Mojo Mayhem
* XX-Crossing (a great NC vs Beast story drawn by Joe Mad)
Things to avoid unless, you're looking for a complete run:
* The Cross-Time Caper...it started off fine (#12-#14, #16), but took a side track into weirdsville and went on way too long...
* The Prometheum Exchange (#37-#39...a crossover with the West Coast Avengers? Wha?
* Anything post #106, except maybe the last two issues (#124-#125). I'm still convinced Ben Raab killed this book. Starting with #107, Raab took over and managed to tie the next six issues into the Marvel Project of the month (Psylocke's Crimson Dawn mini, the New Mutants mini, the Quicksilver regular series). He also made Kurt disappear for close to 6 months.
Of course, these are just my recommendations...I'm sure there's someone out there that likes Raab. It's just not me.

oh, thanks Darkholme! i shall definatly looksie, i have the special #1 already, and Mojo Mayhem, Air Apparent, a couple other scattered issues... but that is the extent of my current collection. so your list shall come in quite handy, methinks, most of those sound familiar, so they are probably what i remember so fondly...
Foxdie, i already downloaded the mini from your site
if you know any place else that has legible scans of issues, (excalibur or otherwise) that would be great, hey i have lots of hard drive space, and i just installed my DSL connection tonite, so i'm cruisin the internet now, baby! no more dialup fer me... so it's no big deal. but don't go to any trouble on my account tracking issues down and scanning em or anything.

Firstly you need a IRC client, best best is mIRC from www.mirc.com
then you need to get onto DALnet and join room #comicscans
90% of comics you can find in there, certainly Excalibur episodes #1 to #36 and more in high resolution jpeg format.
